Den kuriosen Spruch „Liebe ist nicht ohne bitter“ fand Kurt Tucholsky einmal auf einem Kalender in einem Schweizer Hotel. Der könnte auch das Motto des vorliegenden Programms sein, das die Sopranistin Eva-Maria Hartmann und der Pianist Hilko Dumno gemeinsam erarbeitet haben. Der von ihnen gewählte Untertitel „Von einer Liebe, die zerbrach“ trifft die Sache nur halb, denn es geht um das Auf und Ab in Liebesbeziehungen, ihre Glücksmomente und ihre Vergänglichkeit. Der Liebesschmerz freilich überwiegt in den sehr originell zusammengestellten Liedern und Songs.
